Just a heads up uplander; many if not most Third Reich medals are fake.

May want to check out some discussion boards (wehrmacht-awards.com is good) and run it past the guys there or compare to existing info.

not only medals......but knives, uniforms....etc.

most were destroyed.....as the Germans didn't want to be associated with the Nazi Party after the tides turned on them....
suddenly, they "didn't know" what horrible things were going on... and destroyed anything that would link them to such....

I've been dealing antiques for quite a while now. Like others have said most of the Nazi stuff that turns up is repops.
I bought a box of toy trains along with a photo album full of old war post cards at a estate sale about 10 years back. In the back of the album was the paper work for captured enemy equipment that the soldier took home and would ya know it was the paper work for a German Mauser. About a month later I start going through the box of trains and way in the bottom of the box I found the Mauser.
