Every Monday night i go down to my friends Pizza joint "Brick". A real deal wood fired brick oven. 800 degrees. Your pizza is done in 2 minutes. Its like an OG microwave. This is what i get, "The Marinara" with extra kalamata olives and a side of The Disposable skateboard bible. No cow. So good. So fresh.

just saw one of them Weber pizza stones for using on a bbq.

now i fucking love the idea of this.

anyone ever used one?

In my head it would just be like having my own brick oven which can only be a good thing!

I do the hot stone in the oven and then finish it on the gas grill - tops for homemade pizza.

More info on this process please. I've been wanting to do the grill pizza as well. I've even contemplated trying to figure out how to do it on the smoker....

If you are ever in Atlanta and you like authentic Italian style pizza you have to try Antico Pizza http://anticopizza.it/ they fly their ingredients in from Compania weekly, have three wood fired ovens imported from Naples (each weighs @10,000 lbs), and make a kick ass diavola pizza. The closest to actual Napoli pizza outside of Italy. Be sure to eat the pizza there- take out gets soggy by the time you get it home. Also- get there early, they run out of dough most days and close early. If you like american style pizza- nothing beats Mellow Mushroom in Atlanta, awesome crust and crazy toppings.

I'll second Mellow. I managed the one by Emory U for about 5 years and helped open a few stores. Even after working there so long I can still eat that pizza like a mad man. Great crust and sauce.

Yeah. It can be a little pricey. I stick to pepperoni & extra cheese.
