how are you stretching the mesh? I used the DIY template and had a really hard time getting the mesh stretched without tearing it from the staples....ultimately it's really sacked out. techinique to this? Also, what template did you use? |

I tore the shit out of it the first time... I am going to restretch sooner then later... I bought some 1 inch white boarder fabric that I am going to put over the silk before I staple... I will post pics as soon as I get it done... |

I found that if i cut at least an 1" of extra screen all the way around and then fold it under when i start stretching and stapeling, its less likely to rip and tear. I dont have a curved screen, i just have flat screens. that are 14/16" x 36".
Just something from my expeirence. |

I've been doing some research on building a frame/screen (first time). This one you posted looks a lot like the one on the diyskate site. That's the one I'm looking into building. What method do you use to et your image on your screen? Diyskate says that with that frame you have to use drawing fluid. The more I read about drawing fluid the more stressed out I get. It sounds like it'll be hard to get a good clean sharp image with drawing fluid. Any feedback/guidance? |

agreed, that frame is a total waste of time. Take the dimensions for the sides and make it a bit longer while doubling the width. Imagine that you have to stretch it enough against the deck to work out any wrinkles from it not being super tight. The bigger you make it, the better your odds are of getting those wrinkles out. |
