got a cheap project or two I want to try. I've used the blue painters tape from home depot to do tape off some simple shapes and graphics on blank decks before. hit them up with some nice spray paint and had pretty good results for decks for the kids to rip up...
Wondering if I can take that LOW BUDGET technique a step further and need some advice. Do they make "sheets" of that type of masking tape like 8 inches wide or more that won't peel up exisiting layers of paint under it just like the blue painters tape? If so where do I get it? If it does in fact exist is there a way to print on it with a computer printer or do you have to freehand the art and cut it with an exacto knife?
any help is MUCH appreciated..... I'll take a few jokes too, i know they're coming... Thanks in advance... |

i've used that sticking book cover stuff.
here in Oz it's called "contact" and you put it on books to keep em in better shape.
lots of knife work but sticks very well, removes very well.
it comes in rolls so you have a fair amount. |

Contact paper is usually sticky stuff, but shelf paper would probably work well, too. The only reason I suggested the frisket is that they may make one for printing on, which I think was his goal. (Correct me if I'm wrong) |

I just did a project using the same idea for my kid using a blank and a stencil and some blue tape.....
He loves the Spidey, so I made this as sort of a tribute rider. I don't know if this is what kind of ideas you were looking for? |

1. I print out the source image that i think would make a good stencil.
2. Then spray glue it down onto hardboard or cardboard.
3. cut out with exacto knife make bridges in image so as it is in one piece when done cutting it out.
4. Spray the stencil. |
