So a buddy of mine is starting up a skate company, Miflife Crisis Skateboards, making old school style decks. The first offerings are decks of solid birch wood, made in Oregon by the infamous Longboard Larry, the same guy that did the Rick Blackhart decks for Tunnel a couple of years ago.
The deck is 32" X 9.5" with roted sides. It's more beautiful in person than the pictures show.
He's also a retailer for Bennett Trucks and Powerflex and Kryptonics wheels. He'll be making ply decks next, in longer and wider shapes.

Nice, good luck to your buddy. That beam deck is sweet... Hard to see the tail tho, wondering how much of a kick that thing actually has. |
