My new Tahoe Longboards Deadhead. Length 35.5″ , Width 9.5″
Wheelbase 18″ fixed
215 Gonz Indys on 10 degree Kiro wedges front and rear
Rainskates Kaku, Single cut, 62mm, 92a
Oust Air 9 bearings

With this setup you can drop into a park bowl, carve and grind, ollie, flip and slid, and then take it down the road on it's larger wheels for more beer and hit a few slappies on the way. It's low to the ground and still lacks wheel bite. In the afternoon, you can stop by the parking garage to make some beer money from the college kids in a race, and then take it up to the foothills for some tech sliding or downhill freeriding before hitting up the city DIY spots. makes the popsicle look like a toy if you can freestyle it too. Skaters in the future may be able to ride this type of board, in all it's abilities. For now it;s a test and I let others better than I take on the challenge, but I love riding bowls with it and learning what it takes to ride such a setup.

This is my simple park setup. Because I like to LDP as well and I'm sort of weird, fat and old, I prefer trucks with a lot of rake so I can pump still. the Surfrodz are rad. I changed out to softer wheels since this was taken though, the Black Rains are too hard for this grom, so I'm on some small cloud rides again till I stop sliding out when I don't want too. This is the Santa Cruz skatepark, cool locals and fun bowls.

OK,now for the serious response to your question, the new Rockets rock. as far as a comparison to the Rockets from the past,I can't say. I never was much into reasons why Sk8 decks,wheels,trucks,rails,etc.., didn't go. Figured it was on me why I couldn't seem to rip on any given set up.

One dude tried to come in to my friends Sk8 shop and return a blank deck because he claimed his son said " It has no pop" I LOLZED and told him "YOUR SON CANNOT OLLIE!! THAT'S WHY!"

Jive Ass Turkeys.

But The new Rockets? I'll get 'em again. That's the only thing I can say with any certainty. Hope that helps.
