So, I'm trying to find that video that Independent Bearings put out when they debuted back in the day...I can't quite work out the terms to search on Youtube, and I apparently didn't save it in my favorites.

The gist of the video is that Indy/NHS is testing the rollspeed and coasting time of their new bearings...they devised a mechanism to apply approximately 40lbs of pressure onto a skateboard bearing that's rolling on a large grindstone/wheel. The idea was that they were comparing bearings to see how long they spun (at 15mph, under the weight of an average skater).

Does anyone remember what I'm talking about?

Yes, they did that when they introduced their ABEC-5 & ABEC-7 bearings. I think they used the 7's, which have the superior labyrinth seals on them. Great bearing for the buck!

These bearings:

I have no idea where to find the video.

They're honestly some of my favorites...great value, like you said! I wound up stacking most of my quiver with Tektons and Biltins, since I got a hefty discount on those in my skateshop days, but if I hadn't ever worked in a skateshop, those would undoubtedly be Indys!

The vid you are thinking about was for the Bronson bearings that NHS put out. Rockets still kill them.

Sorry Slob, Indy did a video too, before Bronson's.

I don't think so. And both are NHS brands. Kind of silly to do two videos on two different sub brands of the same company featuring rollability as the focus. I'm sure there are Indy bearing videos (I've seen some) but not with the details Slav cited. And don't be sorry, delusion in old age is common.

Indy did do that video a couple of years before Bronsons were on the scene.

Nice try, gumby.

The issue is not whether Indy did a video or not, its which vid, Indy or Bronson, they discussed the rollability as part of their testing of existing bearings.

You voted for Trump, didn't you?
