| Well... I had high hopes of adding to this thread weekly, but damn, I got a case of sciatica mid-July and it turned my life upside down. Days were OK but at night my left leg would hurt like Hell so much so that I could hardly sleep, had to get up and walk the dark house countless times in the middle of the night. I lost over 15 lbs, and the lack of sleep was kicking my ass. Went to PT twice a week which kinda helped. Tried skating a few months into it and I couldn't hardly push, it was like I never knew how to skate, couldn't do shit. I'm maybe 85-90% better but not 100% for sure...legs are weak and my left calf and foot still feel tingly numb. Of all the drugs my doctor prescribed me to sleep nothing worked...been eating pot cookies every night and finally getting decent nights sleep. Skated last week for the second try and am still out of whack but at least I got a few grinds in...just in time for the cold weather and daylight savings time. Ugh! Hoping to rip next Spring for sure and add to this thread. Fingers crossed. |
