chris: mostly concrete for the next year, until I get the confidence to hit a wooden half-pipe
shralp: These wheels?
If so, I was looking at those too. They kind of reming me f my old SC Bullet 66's.
I was leaning torwards those wheels, with either the Flat Pig or the Old School Shaped Shogo Kubo
The 10 inch Indys (I think they're called the 215's) should be a good fit for those boards, shouldn't they? |

yep, those are the wheels. they have offset cores tho, so for both of those boards you will need indy 149's, which are 8.5-9 inches. the wheel offset will give the extra width, and also the boards taper down to narrower widths around the wheel wells. both of those boards are flat with a kick tail, the shogo is an inch longer with a slightly longer wheelbase but theyre almost the same shape. join the bds forum while your at it. |

hey Dushoni,
Yeah...thems the wheels!
Go with the "Shogo Retro Flattie/Airbeam Template" deck.
Just a touch wider and longer than the BDS Pig deck, but
it makes a difference.
If you use the BDS DubCons(team color set of course), go with
a truck that's got about a 9" axle. My personal preference
being the Webb Mike Smiths truck, which is what I run on my
Shogo Flattie with DubCons.(there's also the Destructo High/Wide
truck as well as Indy's...)
Wedge the front truck and you've got a carving machine!!!

What do you mean by "wedge the front"? |

Hey,
Errrr...stick a "wedge" riser under the front truck; fat end
towards the middle of the deck, thin end towards the nose.
It increases the angle of the truck, making it turn sharper.
(see Seismics and their 30 degree stable baseplates and
their 45 degree "turnier" baseplates)
It makes a big difference in how your deck turns. Really.

Oh, sweet.
Thanks for the advice.
I had been admiring the Bulldog products for a while.
Thanks for the info on getting slightly shorter trucks.
I'll prolly get the shorter Indys (I'm a loyal Indy fan) |
