We'll be making our padded skate shorts in the USA in a Union shop.
We have no immediate plans to do any other clothing anytime soon.
There is no athletic shoe manufacture in the USA anymore. |

100% serious. Our shorts will be made in a Union shop. I called the garment workers union and asked them for a list of shops. I called all the shops on the list. I found two that wanted to work with me. One is in Pennsylvania, and is going to do the shorts. Another one in Illinois is going to make other clothing items my partner and I are planning for the future.
Vans have been made in China for about 8 years now. Converse have been made in China for about 4 years. Go to any shoe store and look under the tongues of the shoes - 98% of them will say "Made in China." |

New Balance is the only major manu that still makes some shoes in the US (but they still have shoes made overseas). Pricey.

Fourstar might still be making their garments in the US, but it's been a while since I've looked. |

well i have taken to asking skate companies specifically, and my responses have been all bad or none existant aside from duffs. they told me that they have one shoe that is vegan and made in a fair-shop, even though it isnt in the us. their "baller" is supposed to at least not be made in a sweatshop but thats only what they told me. made in the usa would be better but shoes that dont use sweatshop labor would be a hell of an improvement. |
