After I paid a lot of money for the videos years ago, I now think about buying the DVDs IF they are digitally remastered. Does anybody know, if the DVDs are better/equal/worse than the Videos: Im watching them with a Beamer, so quality REALLY counts! |

The Santa Cruz ones are not. I got all of them for xmas and they are pretty much VHS rips with a DVD menu.
I havent checked the Powell ones yet since I am waiting for the collectors editions with the commentary tracks and other fancy stuff.
I believe the next Powell DVD reissues will be digitally remastered. |

I've seen the Powell re-issues of Bones 1-4, and 6. They are decent quality - better than the Santa Cruz ones or the H-Street, but nothing too exciting. No extras.
Like DomX, i'm waiting for some of the "new" re-issued vids to appear, since Animal Chin has been re-done/re-vamped, but not re-re-leased again.
