I would never endorse something like that.. and think it is a total rip off, and a violation to copyrights, and your friend should be cast into the depth of hell for even think'n of it...

but since we are speak'n hypothetically I think I might,,,,uhhhh-ummm...my friend might be interested in some copies....

Hey New Guy have you had any problems playing the DVD's on a regular home player? I read that most of the dvd-r & dvd-rw's trick the home players into thinking that they're dual layer(which they're not) causing them not to play on most older players. This is what's stopping my um friend from hooking it up. Plus blank dvd's are 10 bucks a pop and the burners are 500-600.

I haven't had any problems with dvd-rs playing, except on the playstation 2.
Its strange, 2 of the dvd players in my house were made before the playstation 2, but they work fine, and the PS2 wouldn't read the disk. I guess the dvd player in the PS2 is just a low quality cheapo! As far as the cost, yeah it can get expensive fast, but I think the end result is definitely worth it.
Besides, the cost of blanks is just gonna keep going down.
