1970s Collectors: What is this Hobie Worth???

Obviously not as much as the seller thought.

If I recall this was one of the ones experimenting with what was essentially a cut down water ski, hence the Maha logo. People were messing around with that a bit in the early to mid seventies. They were some of the first curved kicktails I ever saw, and most were a lot less refined looking than this one is. I even remember friends looking for old water skis at garage sales to convert to skates. A bit on the thick side, but they seemed tailor made.
