I'm Vice Chair of the group and we've been doing fundraising for a little over a year. Plugging away .... it's a lot of work. But worth it.

Anyway ... does anyone know who built the Midland, MI park? I've been checking all the know builder/designers and I can't find anything out.

hmmm, according to CD it was designed by Wormhoudt if that's helpful

Very nice skatepark. Outdoor, concrete, free, no pads required, 15,000 sq. ft., and lights. The park is a mirror of the Traverse City skatepark with some slight differences in ramps. Locals are great. Nothing is over 5-6' feet. Great for beginners. Open 8:00 AM to 10:30 PM seven days a week. Designed by Wormhoudt Landscape Architecture of Santa Cruz, CA (www.skateparks.com) Here's a picture: http://www.pierceenterprises.com/fullshot.htm

yep - we were just there about a month ago. It is a LOT better than the Traverse City Park. It seems that they learned what worked and didn't work and fixed it at the Midland park.

What we were very impressed with was the quality of the concrete. The area that the park is in floods very frequently. In fact, I had two of my sponsored guys go there to skate in March and the place was under at least 6' of water! But we could see no concrete damage from the flooding.

thanks for the info!
