Dear Friends:
We the people of FDR Skateboard Park are calling on you for your support. We
have recently started a new project and subsequently ignited a fire that has spread
throughout our skateboard community. In case you were not aware, we are a
non-profit, self sufficient, underground organization that is comprised of people
from all trades and walks of life who dedicate their time, energy, blood, sweat,
and money in all denominations.
At this point, we have such a strong creative force of workers building around the
clock that it has become evident that we have gone beyond our financial means.
The amount of volunteer work has been nothing short of amazing. Our greatest
enemy is not that of skilled or volunteer labor, as these issues have been easily
surmounted. FDR Skateboard Park is in dire need of building materials.
It is here where we need an organization such as you to help us keep a steady
flow of materials to our brothers and sisters digging in the trenches. With your
support, we will be capable of purchasing essential supplies such as stone, sand,
Portland cement, lime, rebar, wood (for forms), and much needed concrete
coping. These materials are necessary to complete the new phase of construction,
and in turn, to keep our fire burning.
In short, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations; FDR is proof that
united the skateboard community stands strong.
Thank you,
Skater X
