My buddies and I are planning an old man skate trip a few days before Thanksgiving. I love the bowl at P58 and have ridden THe Factory skatepark. We will probably skate the OBX pools and parks on another trip. I would like to skate the Barn, maybe Greenfield Grind if it's close by. I heard that the Backdoor Skateshop in Greenville has a bowl again. Anyone know of any other spots east of I95? Thanks!

Wanchese is the one I'd make a point to try to skate if I was down that way.

You have to skate Currituck skatepark near OBX and if your going on the OBX try to hit up the Nags Head YMCA. Currituck is a free concrete park with a couple of really rad features. They have a key hole bowl that you can roll into and they have an oververt section in the main bowls. The bowls range from 4.5 feet to over 10 feet on the oververt. There is a doorway to carve over and there are no pad police there. The YMCA in Nags Head has a couple of nice concrete bowls and then a wood street area and a mini ramp. Full pads required and like $5.00 to skate. The best thing about the OBX is that you can skate Currituck in the morning, roll over to the Nags Head YMCA about 15 miles away and then head to Wanchese about another 15-20 miles away. You could hit all three of these spots in one full day. If I had to choose only 2 though it would be Wanchese and Currituck. Wanchese is gnar gnar though. It's deep and fast while Currituck has something for everyone. Check out http://www.eastcoastaholic.com for info on them all. Later, Scabby
