Anyone else going to be there? Looks like it will be epic, not that a 2' dump will help in the halfpipe ... but who cares!?!

Well what normally takes 3 hours took 8 hours, driving through Friday night's blizzard. Cars and SUVs off the road everywhere. I had to get out and de-ice the wipers every 15 minutes. The payoff was the best day I've ever experienced on the east coast. Screw the open ... I was in the trees all day with plenty of untracked powder. Not many people there compared to previous years - for obvious reasons. They cancelled the big air on Sat night because of wind and sideways snow.

Stratton is very pricey ($75 lift ticket) with lots of pretentious posers walking around in their fur boots. No wonder I only go there once a year.

Thats exactly where I rode. Not too tight and plenty of fresh stash. But damn my legs were burning on the flat runout at the bottom ... guess thats what happens when you couch surf with a busted ankle for 2 months!
