Boots and bindings are probably the most important...don't go cheap on those. I would be waiting for black friday sales after the holidays anyway.

I have K2 armada boots and they are the best I have ever owned. You gotta find what fits your foot. Burton mission bindings are great for under $200. I have a bunch of different burton bindings and like I said in another post, I live the light weight and the feel of the missions over the more expensive bindings I own.

Really, everyone makes nice stuff these days.

Burton definetly makes nice bindings & boots.
Definetly don't order the boots online, go to a store and try them on if you can.
Flux bindings are the shit.

Nice, can't argue with you but I'm not originally from AZ, just moved here a year ago, from Maine where the ice lives, where the west coast riders go home half day cuz falling actually hurts

Yeah snowbowl just opened this weekend, probally hit it up next weekend, got some tickets coming in the mail.. I think their website said like 92" or something.. Can't f#cking wait!

for $300 you should be able to find a nice setup...used and maybe even new. I will poke around the interweb and see what is out there. How tall are you? What size shoe? If you want to ride the park all the time, 153/155/156 is a pretty decent size.

What are you riding in the park there GF?

Here are Burton bindings for $85...normally $180

Here is a sweet board for $224

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Salomon-Speci...rkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

Not that this is the absolute ride for you but it shows that you can get a really nice setup for around $300. You can keep the bindings and bump down a notch on the board and still have a killer setup for around $300 shipped. That board does rip, I can tell you that much. Post up your height and shoe size and then we'll get somewhere. I am 5.10, shoe size is 9.5/42 euro, and I am 155LBS. 158/159 is my normal everyday setup. When the snow is deeper than 8 inches, I have a wide 163 that keeps me floating....for me, 159 gets the job done most of the time.
