@Slob,
I'm quite aware of the light colored fish/parasitic connection. It's just that we don't get a whole lot of cod/haddock/scrod down here in the Gulf. Snapper and Grouper and Flounder are notoriously clean fish. I've cleaned thousands of 'em & in no way do they compare to the Swordfish & Amberjacks of the world. I honestly think I could eat my weight in fried Flounder. (That's a lot of fuckin' flatfish!)
As for Scallops, size varies from region to region. A quality Gulf scallop will be about the size of a Quarter. You get those little rubbery bastards in the mid Atlantic, "Bay Scallops", they call 'em. Those are about the size of a Nickel. And yeah, I've seen those monster shits from the Northern waters as well. Never eaten one though.
The easiest way to tell, like I said, is by looking for that connector muscle. If it ain't there, you've either got on meticulous motherfuckin' chef working the line, or, you're eating shark. |

I just don't eat garlic (unless the garlic is really light...then I enjoy it) cilantro and raw onions...aside from that, I'm pretty flexible.
I had a bad experience with potato salad as a kid so I avoid that too.
I 'll eat Italian food but I don't truly care for it....but if my friends are headed to an Italian restraunt...I'll join them. |

I dont eat seafood in restaraunts unless it is fried. It is some wierd thing that i wont do for some reason. I love fried fish, grouper especially. Raw unions are great.
Not liking garlic is crazy. FREAK! |

i will never eat lamb fries.
and i especially will never eat oysters on a half shell, whole shell, or no shell, for that matter. any kind of raw shelllfish= no. |

| have you seen the movei "funny farm" w/ chevy chase? he sets the record for the most lamb fries eaten. then he finds out that lamb fries are fried lambs nuts and he barfs them back up. |
