its too late to turn back now you have bought one
that will soon be 2 then 4 them 10 bla bla bla !!!
before you know it no wall space there in boxes everywhere !!!
your sneeking them in the house lying to the wife !!
ive been told a SMACK IN THE FACE off the wife can help but by no means a cure !!!
buy yourself a copy of the book DISPOSABLE it like a bibe for us collectors, lots of pics to drool over
I did buy that book and that's what kicked it all off. I got the book as I decided to start skating again after a 17 year hiatus. I don't like new popsicle stick boards so I hunted for old stuff and used that book to refresh my memory. I already manage to sneak in motorcycle parts past my girlfriend so decks will be easy, until she finds them.

aw crap...
Of course I could've read the warnings in here a month ago and poo-poohed it. It wouldn't happen to me.
I ordered the new DS Bible last week after seeing it mentioned on SBS. I finished reading it (yes, it was lots of oggling but as opposed to Playboy, I savored every word ) after finishing last night, the repeated warnings of addiction and loss of control were ringing true. I'd just logged new skate additions since 26 Oct. I'm phucked.
I came in last night with a used Hawk complete just rcvd from eGay. The wife sees it and asks if it's a new board. Noooo, look at it. Scratches and dirt and stuff. Just moving another to the basement for winter. |

First year is typically crazy....buying lots, then you realize what you want and refine your collection selling off the "fluff"
I'm into year 2 and still have not learned
The way I see it, if you can buy and enjoy for a while then sell for what you paid (or even for a slight loss), it's just like having that money sitting in the bank doin' nothing |
