Rad! Anchors are one of my favorite traditional tattoos, and that one is badass.
I have always wanted an anchor with the word "Family" on a banner, or in the rope. Problem is, I get fucking seasick like a motherfucker, so a sailor themed tattoo doesn't seem too appropriate for me. I suck. |

Looks good! Not too modern..
I go for for the super-flat traditional style myself. Almost no "depth", no fancy stuff, all colors contained in black outlines so it holds up and stays clear. To me, outdated = timeless.
Drew it myself - my line drawing went right into the stencil machine. Lookin ok for a 13 year old piece:

That is lookin' good for 13 years! I wanted the sailor jerry style with just a touch of the artists personal style and some depth.
And T - he hit one nerve doing the outline and I turned green as a fuckin' seasick sailor so I laughed when I read your comment! I don't even own a boat and live on Long island. |
