Who knows, you may have had some prototypes, got your Mondo later, or (a common culprit from the 80's), too much rush has compromised your synapses...

I'm sure they weren't protos..... and I bet no one knows when that Skull Skates Mondo came out. That's a pretty rare bird. I just remember getting that deck and some Thunders with it... can't remember what wheels though, probably SC. Maybe Slimeballs...

EDIT: According to the Thrasher archives, the Mondo came out in March '87. Damn...... my memory is fucked

...and suddenly memories of Marilyn's Backstreet, hypothermia on the parade route, and vomit streams of Boone's and Tommy's chili fries come screaming to the 'fore....

Yikes

Went there a couple of times in '86 or '87

EDIT: Just looked.... that place was in Pasadena. Never went to that one. I could swear there was a Marilyn's in Glendale though..... or maybe my memory is failing me..... again

Yup, it's the drugs. You're thinking of Network...

Can I hire you to be my memory?

Did Marilyn's have a big round dance floor in the middle? Or was that Network?

Amidst the black and strobelights, I can't recall shapes too well...
Never made it to Network myself, but as you walked into Marilyn's you had the elevated stage on the right wall, the raised section with tables on the left, and the dance floor between them, with a curving walkway around the offices and restroom on the left side on the way to the dance floor.

Sorry folks, flashbacks of the 2 San Gabriel Valley under-age clubs. Insert tales of much consumption of cheap booze, clove cigarettes, Death Rockers, Mods, Freaks, Geeks, Pete Burns and Morrisey clones, and everything decidedly un-Top 40 being spun for the 16-20 year old set from 1978-1992

No one posted a Lizard photo nor any mention of it.

2 (diff.) Swords - Skull - Top hat - Bat - Lizard.

I will post a lizard pic, when I find the box its in.
