That X-Men Iceman figure used to be worth quite a bit back in the day..I remember I sold mine for right about 100 bucks (long before eBay, and the internet that WE all use today)..

i kinda know what your saying..that was before the year 2000(que conan o brien ) and people weren't into the "net" yet..everything was word of mouth/conventions and certain stores like golden apple and the like..they usually or sometimes based price on the card insert on the figure..the earlier the card,the earlier the version was...and prices went accordingly.back in the mid 90's was probably when iceman was worth something..sometimes reaching around $100 because they were inserted like 1 out of 10 cases or something...then kay bee hit and they started showing up there..and the price went down because everyone started to get their "fix"..
todays market,some things hold value,some things dont...with everyone needing money for everyday living, i doubt x men stuff would reach that price pinnacle again,but there is potential on some of the stuff in the pics.... |
