I'm selling a custom S&S motorcycle, check the craigslist post:
Super clean, runs great, only 3,500 miles, 110 inch motor, lots of chrome, billet aluminum, belt drive, braided hoses, front & rear disc brakes, custom aluminum wheels. $8500

Some confusing things there... is this yours or selling for someone?

First, its not an S&S motor, only the air cleaner. Also, S&S doesnt come in a 110 either or 105 (writing in picture) but in either case it's definitely not an S&S motor. S&S rocker covers look totally different and the heads have their logo cast in them.

Motor looks to be a stock 80" HD EVO crate motor with some chrome bits.

Damn, that's a nice price. The tag states 105ci, might wanna have them update that.

[derail]

I've been watching the prices of Buells quickly spiral, might have to pick me up one of those if they drop again.

Thanks for the observations. This bike was bought by my shop. So it is mine. (along with a couple of my partners). I know nothing about bikes, I got the info from our motorcycle "expert". We will definitely check into what kind of motor that is when the dimwit gets back to the shop. I'm going to be pissed if he told me the wrong motor brand.
This bike will be worth more with a Harley motor, correct?

80ci and not the 105 noted on the bike, no sir, not worth more. I'm not a Harley guy but from what I know the 80 is undersized compared to even the bone stock models out today.

No, with that motor it will be less or not even really matter.

Evo is the type of motor. Harley has had different types of motors (designs) through the years. Knucklheads, Panheads, Shovelheads, Evo, Twincam, etc...

There's after market companies who make each of those style motors but bigger cubic inch (more power). Of all the aftermarket brands S&S is the most desirable. There lots of others... Revtech, Ultima, etc...

So even if you had an S&S, Revtech or other brand, they're still concidered "custom HD's". They're based off a base Harley motor.

I've only ridden a stock HD 80ci Evo and a 96" S&S Evo. Personally, I think the 80 is just fine. But you know how it is.... small dick syndrome. Some guys gotta have that 115"+ I dunno. Maybe if you've got one of those bikes with a 300 tire in the rear and you weigh 250.

An 80" is like 1340cc or something...

Not knockin' the motor, just noting that the size is larger now. For some reason larger equals better in many minds.

The six speed gearbox is what I'm after when I finally pick up another cruiser. The wife has given the okay on a Road King, the wallet has not.

It looks like it is indeed an S&S motor.
Price is now reduced to $7500, our shop needs cash.
