Okay, I get mixed opinions about putting graphics on decks.

first I hear, yeah you can silkscreen them, you'll just need to find a special screen that curves with the deck. [which i cant find anywhere]

then I hear, Nah you cant silkscreen using emulsion... you have to use drawing fluid.

then I hear you shouldnt silkscreen, you should heat transfer after printing out graphics.

so what is it? I'd like to go the silkscreen route. I already have a wood press, and veneer... Im about to start making decks, and have no idea still about how to put the graphics Ive made in photoshop...onto my deck!!!

Please help!

well to get my company off the ground, I was going to buy the first 30 boards as premade from a company, then start pressing my own. Im falling short on money for veneer/materials due to my tuition at the moment.

Since they are already made I dont know the perfect way to do it. However, printing them on the flat veneer sounds wayyyy easier.... few questions about that...

when you print it flat and cure it, then you get ready to put it in the press, what protects the graphics????

I'm really sorry your uncle sexually abused you, but don't take out your aggression on other people.

If the concave isn't too gnarly, you can always opt for a screen that is about a third larger than your decks.

Off concact printing is the way it's described, and basically you'll be pushing down on the screen as you pull your squeegee, and the squeegee needs to follow the contours of the deck.

Med. Soft Squeegee, sharp edges.

For more successful results, avoid tip to tip and edge to edge images. If you want nose or tail graphics, pull them separately.
