yea I 've heared that but is it really slippery like someone just waxed it? Our steel coping is kinda rusty in spots and doesn't feel fast, just sprayed it with lacquer tonight which helped. we just did an add on and I need to buy some more coping and the galvanized question came up. Probably will just stick with black pipe and spray it on occasion.

I got galvanized coping on my ramp and it works great.

I skated a new park a couple weeks back and that had stainless steel coping. That was pretty slick. First park I've ever been to that had stainless steel.

It's all about personal preference.

here's a shot of the new section. A neighbor gave me this funky half pipe that was 64" wide and about 7' tall with very little flat bottom. I cut it in half and stuck the two sides together which gave us a 10' 8" wide quarter.

here's a shot from way up high showing the growing complex

Galvanized pipe is twice the price then stainless steel.
I just found that out the other day.

got a little remodel/addition in the works only because my back is tweaked and I can't skate. I guess there is a good side to being injured sometimes. Filling in the two corners plus. The corner on the left will extend into the mini about 24". Wife and kids are gone over the 4th so I've got the whole weekend to build. Lots of liquids and safety breaks makes for a great weekend of building I hope

just about got this gap filled in, there will be a small 1/4pipe on top of the quarter on the left to transition into the corner extension
