The board is black dip, natural top. 8 coats black enamel smooth sanded.
This dick is very unique being that it's metallic pearlescent, candy metallic and iridescent. This is done in a mixture of from base dry pigments; pearl powder. Depending on how you look at the board, it's light source and environment it will either glow or become a certain type of evil. The spider is iridescent burning orange with a black silkscreen print over it.
"Metallic Acid Spider, Kray 2010, Prototype Shape A2, Color Sample 01A5112010"
Which means what color components it has on top since there is sample drops of most of the colors used on top and a code for which mixture ratio of each color. Basically this deck is a corner stone for future boards and has the recipes to make further boards if you had my decipher key.
There is 7 types of pearl, iridescent and some small amount of silver/aluminum base spray which causes the translucent metallic become opaque at various angles.

Gotta love that Kray.
the old "There's a fine line between genius and insanity" quote ALWAYS comes to mind with him.
I've always thought him Genius, but I think he's starting to slip the other way.
I heard he cut off one of his ears and sent it to his girlfriend last week. |

This is no.2 Acid Spider on the original proto shape done in 2010. At the time the decks had no specifically interesting wood grain so being beta decks I painted them black.
The original Old Skool series was supposed to be metallic over black or metallic full color paint jobs but that idea is long past since the deck was run as replacements for 22 bad decks. The replacement of the flawed decks, some 100+ hours of work sidelined this release and it's eventual evolved sister decks never came into existence.
This board is a rare bird especially since these paints are a paint over enamel and are temperamental.
Just that this version never saw the light of day due to circumstances.
There is no real way to capture this deck in pictures. I could try, but I doubt it.
It is just one of those things that has to be held or seen mounted on a wall to get the full effect.
It's bright, radiant and burns your eye in full sunlight.
I will take offers only after I catalog it and take pictures.
