Did you put Khiro or Bitch on top? I like me some Bitch bushings!

stims, elims... don't ride either. Got a fat bag in the bushing box but everytime I've tried them, they're just too restrictive. Maybe I'd appreciate them with my hair on fire at 40, 50mph+.

I got the Bitch on top...The firmness at 92a really mellows out the relative softness of the green Stim on bottom. Plus, the goofy shape of the Stim limits just how much the trucks can turn, especially coupled with a cupped washer.

I kinda like the restriction of that shape of bushing though, personally. I like being able to lean as far over as I can and not get wheel bite! But, I do like loose and turny trucks...hence my fascination with Stims

You oughta post a pic ...

I'd bet your getting the bite in the rear.

no need for pics of that

i use two things for wheel bite:
1) hard wheels
2) jig saw

As soon as I saw the first post, I figured it was the top bushing.
You don't want coned bushings on a setup like that, barrels are better, cones just dip too much- they don't provide enough resistance to the turn.

I like the hourglass bushings that Tracker uses on the RTS/X trucks,
and they would have the exact opposite effect of a cone bushing. Too bad they only make them in 88A. Tracker only uses them on the bottom(coned on top, but hey-it's a slalom truck, after all), but I'm thinking about trying them top and bottom on my Paris trucks.

I beveled the radious on the wheels by chucking them in a drill and hitting them with a wood rasp. Desperate measure for a ghetto fix. We all do what we gotta do sometimes and a grippy set of wheels with some turny trucks are too good to waste on wheel bite unless you cut it out.

I tried some new trucks last night that totally would eliminate your issue. They are made of spring steel (base plate)and magnesium hangers. the company making them is interested in getting opinions on how they are working. anyone interested in trying the trucks out or checking them out, hit me up wit a PM.

Yes, this website can be rather annoying at times

the new NHS catalog shows the new six-hole forged Indy baseplates with a longer kingpin for use with taller bushings.

Yay!

I still can't believe that NHS actually listened to what people want to buy. This must be a first.

After comparing the performance of my 215 hybrids -- with great bushing, etc., with the performance of my Randal-180s with longer kingpin and nice bushings, I am retiring my Indys. They get twitchy and wobbly at much lower speeds than a similarly loose Randal.

I love the lowness of the Indys, and if I were really into sliding I might stay with them, but for my particular downhill activities they are not the truck for me.
