For tattoo research purposes, I am looking for a high-resolution scan, or photo of the Santa Cruz STINGER graphic.
It has been burned in my brain since first seeing it around 1980 at Lake Eden skatepark, when two oddball locals Kevin Roebuck, and Steve Huber both rode them.
The only resource for finding it at my disposal (pun intended) are the two dis posable books, so I guess I am looking for an actual deck scan, or a link to a good version.
Here's my crappy scan from dis posable.

Thanks!

The art on mine is not accurate since it is a replica. The real stingers have veins in the wings, which mine is lacking. Besides, I dont have a scanner. If you want a pic, I can do that, but like I said, it won't be a true representation.

Thanks Del*13!
I would welcome any help on this, if you can get a good tight shot of the bee, and PM it to me, that would be great!
The veins on the wings must have been subtle, as I can't notice them on the photo from the bible!

G13, yeah, it's not horrible as scans go.
But this forum has some of the best archivists around.
Skate history can be more than a fuzzy scan from a printed book.
I am merely tapping the historians for more accuracy.
The Stinger bee is still cracking me up!!

With all the shady shit going on w/replicas, stealing art, ect, you'd be hard pressed to get a decent picture at this point, nevermind a full size scan.

Too bad really... Ain't me but thats how the cookie crumbles..

Wow scs, I never even considered that angle!
I'm visiting my friend Euge in Toronto for a tattoo in a few weeks.
We'll get that bee into my arm then.
Was the Stinger in Jim Phillips' book? I should go look at the skateshop copy.....
