G'day, have been lurking on the forum for a while and figured I may as well introduce myself.
Like many people on here I was skating heavily during the 80s and have decided to see if I can rekindle some of the old spark.
Basically I am hoping to start just collecting the boards I rode in the past and figured that someone here can help with how hard they are to track down and the cost that I would expect to pay for a decent quality model. The boards include the street cab D&B, lopes bbq, bill tocco octopus and the Vallely barnyard.
I know the approximate $$ of the Vallely from postings on here, but the cabs seem to vary a lot in price for NOS?
That said, I have seen a Steve Saiz going relatively cheap so might pick that one up - even though I never rode it . So might start my 'collection' with that one!
I have the lopes & cab in reissues but am interested in how much the real deal is likely to set me back.
Cheers |

Hey baggles, where did you use to skate in the 80's? Did you ever skate JTC tennis court banks, AMP sculptures, perth concert hall banks, the edge(freo), tit bowl(claremont)? [/url] |

Gday, lived up in the hills so didnt get into the city as much as I would have liked. Only got to skate the C.H. banks a few times before they were bricked up...was there a few weeks ago and it is a crying shame what they did...The Edge was a favourite though, and later in life I moved to Claremont so frequented the tit bowl a fair bit.
Must say that another spot i liked was the clock tower banks in scarborough...went to see Natas, Miller & Gator demo at Westwinds (maybe??) and went to scarb after. Natas and Miller were coming back from a swim to their hotel and came over for a quick demolition job on the banks - fkn destroyed them .
Do you remember that place in Morley that had the rolling wave bank thing in the middle that spun around? |
