So the weeds, blackberry bushes, and dirt hill are finally gone revealing a large flat area of the yard. I cut out some potential transitions to mock up the general size and placement of the ramp.
This is what it would look like at 5'9" tall, 7'9" of tranny, 10' flatbottom (a rip off of the 2007 surf expo volcom mini ramp-thanks tim payne!)
I am thinking about doing a spine on the far end. This is what it would look like with about 4' of flat in the spine section. I think I would end up with 6" of deck on the back fence. Just enough for lip tricks.
A little less that I was hoping for, but I am realizing the spined section would feel like a bowl with that amount of flat. Maybe down the road I will build a bowl on that section of the ramp.
I'm gonna live with it for a few days while I finish leveling out the ground and placing footings. Still on the fence about the height. I originally thought about doing it a little shorter, but I want it to be big enough for my kid to ride his bike on it and I like the idea of having big enough trannys to knee slide out. |

Ditto!
Behind Alan you're seeing a 4' tall, 8'-9' transition with 12' of flat. I wish I could stretch it to 16'.
When you drop in, you need a plan, ASAP. Mind you, the skatelite is super fast, but even if it was plywood slowing me down, I'd still crave the extra flat. |

Ya know...
Since you're close by, and since the masses have been grumbling about a get together, we should get you over and riding the beast and see what you think... |

Yep.
I'll ride my Landshark to make Pinto jealous, and bring free blue reish Rat Bones to lure Matt Brokenorder, and tradeables! |
