btw....do your 151 hangers have a small dent above the pivot? I saw another hanger that did and wondered if it was from the same casting? mine def have the dent. ill get some pics when i get home.
above the pivot? you mean on the front of the hangers or the back?
I haven't taken them apart since I set them up...... I need new bushings, maybe I'll take them apart later.
As to the Indy ID site...... Nah, not me. I'm gonna do a Bennet plastic baseplate ID page instead.
ist pic is mine
2nd pic is vapors from pg 15.

yeah, i think its just a casting thing...
my other stage 2's don't have that, but some have that flare thing on the pivot like that anodized truck pic has (although not as pronounced). I see it on a few of my sets stage 2's... I'm sure that's just the imperfections of sand-casting showing up. |

Unknown stages, both are VI+. I've never seen the flat bottomed pivot before. Any clues?

The funny thing is that it is perfectly smooth, as if it was intended that way, not like a void from the casting process. So, a unique specimen among Indy's lineage? |

was that truck ever ridden? I'd think that either it would turn badly, or at least damage the pivot cup.
Send it back to Indy, see if they send you a replacement. |

I've believe I've owned these trucks since about 1978 but I can't recall the exact date. Axle is 7.5" measured end-to-end. Base-plate has the number '4' cast into it. Bushings are blue/blue-green under the patina. Pivot bushing is white. Can anyone assist with an ID?
Thanks a bunch.
Great thread. |
