nice move on the spray for background colors. way cheaper than burning more screens. Work looks rad too. Put a heater on it for faster drytime, r.. a blowdryer eh.

Since I messed up the last painting with the epoxy resin, I did a new smaller one and it turns out just amazing. I will not praise myself but this one really looks unbelievable. The only thing that bothers me is that the marker I did my signature with is not compatible with the epoxy resin. As soon I get rid of this problem I do another large scale pineapple painting…

You need to use a non interfering coat between the resign/glaze and your work.

Polyurethane spay may work.

Depends on the catalytic reaction and the amount of heat the resign is producing.

In essence if you use mixed media; markers, water color, India ink, spray cans then silkscreen ink you need a coat that locks down those mediums so there is a inert barrier between the orgy of chemicals and the heat producing volatile end coating.

The rule of thumb is if you use Oils you coat in shellac.

If you use water based paints you coat in enamel clear and or Polyurethane.

If you use acrylic based paints you go with the opposite petrochemical based clear.

if using water you cover in oil, if using oil you clear in a water base.

Get it?

You going about it wrong.

Use the marker you like just spray it with polyurethane after.

Polyurethane is mostly ammonia and is considered inert in it's catalyzed poly form.

Acrlyic clear by Krylon will work as well or better.

There is this printing on most spraycans and as well most art supply that says "first try a sample to see if reaction".

I've made some new pineapple paintings:

They are available in four different colors and each color is limited to 10 pieces.

Check out my website for more images of the paintings:
