Ha, ha...thanks zeno01 and clownbaby! I was just busy typing out some thoughts cause I didn't think anyone was going to show any love. Here is what I was typing on my iphone note pad before I viewed your posts...

What up! No love for the ghetto. Typical.
No but really, did anyone check out the decks. Mountain, Blender, T. Francis, and what about the Matthew Barney deck; skateboard as drawing tool!? At least the Barney deck will be more creative than those art slumming decks by Supreme. What about mine "oldschool obsessions", little miniature paintings of oldschool decks. It's all paint with grip for wings, no paper and actual little transfers with painting. Yeah, I know butterflies right but I use to collect insects as a kid and have always had collecting problems...oldschool obsessions. Maybe I should have put it in a skate art thread to get some feedback. Believe me, in person it lives up to $50. Sounds like I'm trying to sell my deck...yeah it would be nice. |

Damn, I was just in Hamtramack the weekend before last. I won't be able to get there next weekend, but I am putting the word out to my friends in the area. |

The more I look at the decks the more I wish I could buy like five.
There really are some nice ones. |

^ Awesome, send them over! If you're in the area and want company to hit a park, let me know. |

The deck auction raised over $25,000...pretty sweet.
The Barney deck pulled $2,900. Probably would've been a good investment as I'm sure it will go for $20,000 plus at a Sotheby's or Christies auction in a number of years. |

"Sno-man" drove this out to D-town all the way from Oregon.
I guess he's a second generation Burnside builder. They claimed to have hauled six thousand pounds.
My buddy Mitch (his venue) took a shot of the guys after they arrived (Two of the apprentices are missing from the shot).
Mitch & Tony Miorana (Crew Leader) surveying...
Break time; evening of day five.
The progress; day five.
