I have painted on the grip of the skateboards I've ridden for nearly 20yrs. At first I used white out pen smudged with my thumb to create my images. Then I naturally moved onto stenciling and every time I got a new board refined my method.
I hand cut multiple stencils, only white spray paint is used with the amount applied dictating the grey scale. The framed works are on a similar non-slip industrial product to skategrip that has a matte black finish & a larger size capacity. I've only started doing the framed works in the last yr & am really stoked with how they're evolving..
