Hey, I've had a bunch of boards shipped to me over the last year and the methods always varied. If the bindings fold down (as most burtons do), I'd leave 'em on and just use a regular snowboard box. Go to a local shop and see if they have any laying around. Heck, this is prime delivery time.
I've also had boards and bindings come in separate boxes. That works too, but it's sort of inefficient if method #1 will do.
Just as a sidenote, most shipping charges were around $20-$30.
Now, care to tell me what boards you're selling? If there are any pro models (i.e. Craig Kellys) or if there's a Safari in there, let's talk...

That's a sweet board...not really my bag, but I'm sure you'll get nice cash for it. The super-old Burtons have been pulling in good dough.
The safari (a colored one) was the first board I really wanted as a kid, so that's the oldest Burton I'm after.
Good luck with the auction.
