Has anyone shipped a complete from the USA to UK, recently? I have a XT full size Hawk with trackers and G Bones. It's pretty heavy and between that and the box size, I can't imagine it would be cheap. Asa recently getting nailed for $100 to ship a complete to OZ has me wondering. Thanks.[/url] |

i always try to ship a complete in the same way that i'd mail just a deck
those medium flat rate boxes, 2 of em.
i just take the skateboard apart and wrap each truck in bubble wrap and the wheels too and fit it all into those 2 boxes w/ the deck
(1 truck at the nose and one at the tail..and the wheels usually will lay onto the concave of the board)
i think the fact that its only like 31x12x3 (box measurement) helps to keep the cost lower than if it were some much bigger box that most would use to mail an assembled complete.
*also, maybe...ask the buyer if they really NEED the hardware and bearings..if they don't need em, that can cut down some weight as well.
i just did an estimate for ya on the usps website and with my recommendation and an estimated weight of 9 lbs it says:
$71.50 post office price
$65.78 online price
*for express mail international to the UK
just some ideas... |

Thanks. What did you put for the weight? I've tried those estimates but the weight is such a factor. I guess my best bet would be packing it, taking it to the the post office and getting an actual price. |

Any advice for shipping 2 completes from the US to the UK?
I'm wondering if it would be cheaper to send 1 large box, or 2 smaller boxes...also, I'm wondering which service to use. |

Usually cheaper to do one box unless your box is way bigger than necessary |
