I just finished screen printing the first color combinations of the new MODE Skateboards "Fish Tank" model. The deck is an 8.75-by-32.5 pool shape that Pennswood pressed for me. I just posted in the product section but wanted to put these here since they are printed by hand.
The printing involved eight separate screens (six for the bottom and two for the top) and really tested my printing skills. Something about screen printing repeating patterns across several planes on the bottom of the deck for the sun rays proved challenging to me. But I came up with a decent way of doing it. Hoping to get quicker as time goes on because these are really time consuming to make at the moment.
I'll be doing more color combinations in the coming weeks but these are the first few I put on my site.

Big thanks to Hank at Shipyard Skates for giving me an idea of what a jig could look like for printing on the nose/tail. It also inspired me to build an angled table for printing the rest of the board (which is included in the photos).
Thanks.

These are really nice. I'm especially digging the blue, as it's true to the theme. The top logo is slick, too. Keep up the good work! |

A great page that explains you better about stakeboard designs and how can you print it. |
