crosses are ubiquitous and varied symbols. Crosses such as these are old symbols that been around for more than a millennium. Same thing with the swastika, centuries old at least.
In this case the direct inspiration for the Indy logo was the lower red cross seen on the Time magazine cover. |

The combination of Red , white and black as a graphic design perspective has always proven to be the most striking....Romans did it first....Hitler stole it....Santa cruz use it....Olsen and Peters like it.  |

It holds up. Maybe it's more of an inspiration, but the angle and overall concept are directly from that drawing. When you add in this other Finlay, you see more inspiration.

| Right. Some graphics are closer than others, but it's not like any of the original SC graphics were just straight xeroxed copies (the way people liked to do in the 90s). |
