I have a new appreciation for registration after printing these new MODE freestyle decks last night. They feature a total of 10 screens (seven on the bottom and three on the top).

And a big thanks to Pennswood for the tips on how to make the fluorescent pink color shown here. Joe is a good guy and willing to share tips/techniques to make your boards better.

Awesome work man!! I've been wanting to setup myself a freestyle rider as I've never even set foot on one. Of course one from you guys. Don't know if I want to do a 80's single kick or get new school double kick one. For some reason in my head a double kick one makes me thing "its just a small popsicle".

Thanks. Glad you like them, Steve.

I think it's somewhat true that it's a small popsicle shape (it's pressed from a mold Pennswood actually uses for street decks), it actually feels different. the slightly shorter size keeps the nose and tail a little less severe in height and the wheelbase more maneuverable.

I skated the 80s-style freestyle boards back then but I couldn't ride them now. The single-kick shapes feel too small and the lack of any upturn on the nose almost makes it feel like it slopes downward.

We make both kinds but I think the single-kicks might feel like too much of a learning curve. Just my two cents. Hope that helps.

those look great. are you screening the background color or spraying them? if sprayed, how do you get your edges so clean? masking tape?
