Yeah, so I rode it... Best board in my humble stash. I don't think I ride short boards anymore. Numbchucks rule.

Okay, sucka ass suckas! Hustler and Numbchuck talk, two of my favorite subjects!

About 2 years before the Hustler came out (B.H.) I was riding the Numbchuck in park/pool/mini ramp/ditch. On it were wedged circa 1988 INDY 169's until I began my tenure with TRACKER and it became the new Six Tracks, wedged of course. I had been riding 60 mm No Skoolz 98a, except ditches which I roll the 88a. Then the Shitfires and Blackfartz came out and now I alternate depending on how I feel or want my board to feel. Bird's wheels are hot but I get too much wheel bite with Shitfires as well as the 65mm NO Skoolz. 60mm of wheel is plenty with the Hustler or the 'Chuck. One thing I miss when I ride the Hustler is the extra 2.5" of wheelbase the Chuck provides. There is more stability and easier to attain the desired speed at any given time. Yes it is a big board but with the proper stance (wider, obviously) and leverage, you can smoke it through corners and hips. It is a bit long in the shallows of pools, hence the reason I made the Hustler.

Is it the steel strip running halfway up the deck sort of arrangement?

Howdy,
Stubbs; still waiting on my Seismics for my
Numbchuck. The Hustler has proven to be
EVERY bit as good as you said it was!
The Seismic/Shitfires combo on the Hustler
is AWESOME!!
I still haven't settled on a wheel for the
'chuck yet...maybe DubCons or Shogos.
Thanks again for setting me up!

they are (were) cut from some kinda pipe..
they are huge and do not require any interfacing with a kingpin
looks like pvc on first glance; but feels a lot tougher... found a dude selling a couple on ebay.. got em for 3.50
turns out he was cleaning out some oold lady's attic in Fla (home of the Clyde Slyde) and found about 100 of em in a box...
They still aren't as big as the Functional Designs lapper... those things look like those ramps you drive up on to when you wanna change your own oil.. wanted one of them, but no dice... these are sufficiently burly and big
