Not sure if anyone's already set up a thread for this, but I'm keen to see people's efforts in terms of coloring their A2A and/or D2D decks.

I have a bit of a 'work-in-progress' thread for this going in the Deck Restoration forum, but that seems a stupid place for these products which technically haven't been 'restored'; merely colored in.

Remember to specify what ink/paint/whatever you're using to color. If using your bodily excrement, please disclose what you ate the night before so we can appreciate the fine detail. If using paints or ink, give us the low down.

Lets see if you've retained any of your coloring-in skills from early school days. Points deducted for going over any lines.

Righto I'll start with my half-complete Sungod. I'll post the finished product soon.

Acrylic paint (Liquitex)

This is slowave7's work which he kindly posted in my 'Deck Resto' thread.

The dude uses nice ink and he's colored some black and white Dog Town decks as well.

Finally finished this Sungod yesterday.

Seriously turned out better than I imagined it would. After all the obsessing and T.L.C., it's very satisfying to hang this son of a bitch on the wall.

It's really turned out vivid as hell. The colour is intense! I haven't adjusted those pics on the lawn; that is natural direct sunlight hitting those colours. These acrylics are definitely the way to go if anyone's thinking of doing one of these for themselves.

Ah - just realized I haven't done the eyes!

Any suggestions on eye color? What color eyes should a Sungod have?

I'm thinking either Mid Blue or Emerald Green...

Wow! Looks great. I guess I'd try emerald green, though the contrast might turn out to be crass.

Those look great! Really nice effort.

I'm especially interested in how people are doing their Neptunes! There are plenty of tricky areas where darkness shading is used. Yours looks good so far.

The colors you've chosen are close to what I'll probably use (especially on his robes). And it looks like you've done a superb job negotiating around the darkness shading on the serpent! What are you using?

I'll watch with interest how you choose to go about the shading on the castle and his throne back-rest (the shell behind him), and also his tattoos.
