Craig: Welcome. It probably happened to all us older skaters. I started skating in '76. Fell off after I left home at 18 to work full time. Dabbled in '80s and got back into it 1990s. Committed now to roll until I die whether it's tomorrow or I'm 80.

Longboarding in particular is a great metaphor for life to me about balance and accepting challenges...Tried a new line just yesterday and bailed, my skateboard zipped away without me... Still it was exhilarating!!! I feel sorry for all the folks stuck in front of the idiot box (TV) who don't know the thrill of at least cruising...

i tried dropping in on one of BBBs LONG boards and that was suicide.

the Hustler is no different than any other board at 36inch...

Dropping in on a Hustler ain't no thing. Dropping in on a Numbchuck gives me the creeps. I know its only a 2 and-a-half-inch differece, but damn. Bigger wheels on the numbchuck prolly doesn't help any either.

On my Hustler, the timing feels just fine. Once rolling, however, it feels just a little bit "short." When I drop in on my 'Chuck, it seems to take forever to drop in, but once I'm in, it's valhalla, baby.

This might explain why the Mile High Skates "Enforcer" will be right inbetween the Hustler and Numbchuck.

I changed my mind, dropping in on a Hustler is no picnic either. I finally got to skate the Lake Forest/Etnies park. Took my trusty Hustler to to skull bowl. Damn. The shallow end is about four feet deep and just kisses vert, so you are looking at dropping into a four foot transition on a three foot board. I did it all morning, but I got the heebies everytime. I'm gonna build something a wee bit smaller, at least for that bowl.
