Ok, looking for some help here.. I sold this d&b deck on ebay recently and now the buyer is trying to claim it is a reissue.. I bought the deck here many years ago, before the reissues were even made, and I don't think they even did this colorway as a reissue, just looking for some support or proof that this deck is a OG Thanks!

Pull the trucks off, that should tell weather it's a reissue or not... Yes? Reissues had the new mounting holes, the OG's had the old spacing? |

That one looked legit to me, but could possibly be a reissue- it had the old school mounting pattern and most of the reissues say reissue above the rear trucks. The other place to look would be under the trucks on the reissues that do not say reissue, they have SOC 2017 or another year under there. Would have to remove the rear trucks to know for sure, $400+ would be a bit of a gamble. |

as far as I remember, the Cab dragon & bats had only been reissued in baby-blue back around 2005/2006 (I remember that because I bought one and kept an eye on every reissue that came out at the time). It wasn't until the end of the 2000's that endless variations of the same decks have flooded the market.
Of course this isn't a 'proof', but there's too many details that I think are different on a reissue : besides the truck hole pattern, there's also the top logo (I can't remember a "7-ply" ripper on top of the reishs). Colors also look more like the OG 80's colors. |

Along with all the other info posted so far-
The deck edges were not painted on the older re-issues...
from what I have read here before. |

thanks for all the help so far! I appreciate it. So can it be said all early powell reissues had new truck hole pattern? That is a biggie if so.
My whole thing is what has already been stated and that is they just did not do reissues with this colorway or with colors that pop like this. |
