There you go hillbreaker...a rad member took the time to break it all down for you. The one pictured is how it should be. So cool of albertstrange to take the time. I thought I saved an image of all the fakes; if I find them I’ll post them up here. I do know there are about 4 maybe 5 chris cook minis, factory done, floating around.

Thanks for the kind words, but I can't say I've been a "rad" member... I've been a little lost in the FB world for years now... Not that I can complain because it's helped my business explode (which means I'm getting closer to retiring from my day job that works me 14 hour days on a regular basis).
I've been a lacking member, a side-tracked member and for that I apologize. I have made a lot of life-long friends from this place and I'm hoping to be a better member moving forward.

Is it fair to call them fake? No. Enhanced?

That the mondo airbrushing and that of others well after the fact increases the worth if undetected has always been something that I can't really wrap my head around—in many cases it just doesn't look that good or add to the OG artwork.

But I’d think the factory done ones would be considered enhanced?
The ones done after would be mimicking them and be deceiving. Therefore, worthy of an aspect of them being considered faked?
The mondo I have is also sprayed with the graphic being screened over it.
It doesn’t always look great but it an interesting aside.

After market Airbrushing... It's like painting your red 1964 Mustang a bright candy apple green but cheapening out at the last minute and leaving all the door jams red on the inside of the car... Fake? No, ruined OG value? Yes.

The reason the sprayed rails, unique airbrushing and even the splatters have more value is because a lot less of them were made. These guys in the 80's were probably just sitting around having some beers at the shop and just started having a little fun with the decks. Some of them are fantastic and some not so great, but I wouldn't call them "enhanced" either. To put it in today's terminology I would call them "limited edition, hand painted/screened" decks.

...and to think they were the same price back then as a natty or single color deck...LOL
