Hi, all!
First off, these are not my pics. I found them uncredited on a tattoo collection site, or I would give credit where it is due.

Anyway, does anyone know anything about the history of the original SC Jason Jessee Neptune decks? Or where I can find this information?

Anything like: which was made first, last, or the production order of them? (if numbered L to R, 1-6)

I’ve read claims that #1-4 are all "the rarest." Which is actually the most rare? The most common? Most expensive? Least expensive?

Really anything you could tell me would be incredibly appreciated!

Thanks!

Inspiration was a tattoo on Jessee's back

Bat nose the first and rarest with shark tail graphic done by Jim Phillips, then crescent moon nose cos Jessee thought it was weird having a bat underwater and removal of EEEEs. Graphic then redone by Johnny Mojo, various changes including meramid tail, tattoos on Neptune, lettering changes, different top logo.

They all fetch a pretty penny ($000s) but a NOS mint bat nose would go very large. So far only used examples have appeared on the market.

That's awesome! Thanks a TON, seriously!

Do you know where the "blank moon" (#1 on far left) fits into the time line? And what is that deck actually called?

Price-wise, how does that one compare? There seems to be even less info on that one than the rest.

Thanks Again!!!

One on the left probably came after bat nose but before crescent moon

They tend to be known by the tail logo eg. Shark tail or mermaid tail

Thanks! It's crazy to me that there appears to be less information and fewer pictures of this "blank moon shark tail" than there are of the rarest bat nose.

Is there any place I should look or contact for more information on this deck? Any ideas at all?

Thanks again!

Interesting, did Jim Phillips admit it in an interview or something? If so, can I get a link? I'd love to read the story.

Thanks!

Cool, thanks!

So it's speculation?

Unless actually stated, I can see it as possible inspiration for the banner, but there are a myriad of ancient depictions of Neptune that are closer in appearance than the flyer.
