Hi all, I am Bobschro.

I grew up in the Philly suburbs. I started skating in 1985. A bunch of friends of mine met a guy named Dave Fairman when he was selling gear off his parent's front porch. He opened up a shop and I skated for Fairman's for a long while (when it was located in Prospect Park) with the likes of Adam Wallacavage, Andrew Jeffrey Wright, Adam Crawford, Bill Jenkins, to name a few. I mostly skated street, but would ride vert any time I had the (rare) opportunity. My ears constantly ring from all the punk and hardcore shows I went to as a kid. I did a bunch of snowboarding all over in the late 90's through 2000s and loved every minute of it.

I went to Art school in Philly and I've since been a professional graphic designer for 30+ years. I live in NJ and work in NYC. Skateboarding/snowboarding art, magazines, tees, stickers, you name it, it all had a tremendous influence on my life and career. It's my foundation.

My (crazy, midlife crisis) goal is to see if I can eventually collect all the 80s boards -- that I can remember -- having as a kid:

Schmitt Stix ATV
Vision John Grigley Old Ghosts Guardian
Schmitt Stix Ripsaw (hated this deck)
Sims Screamer
Madrid X Team Rider
Schmitt Stix John Lucero (Bars)
Mark Gonzales (Face)
Schmitt Stix Chris Miller (Dog)
Tracker Dan Wilkes (Raptor)
Alva Fred Smith (fav board of all time, had 4 of them)
Sims Eric Nash Scratch Off Graphic

Thanks for reading!

Ryedoggy has a killer guardian for sale. Hit him up

That’s a helluva list of decks. Some pretty iconic stuff

welcome. What are your standards for these boards? Re-issue ok? NOS only? You'll have to have some deep pockets and some good luck to get a few of the ones on your list in NOS condition.

There's a Rip Saw currently on Ebay

Great question!

I think I'd be okay with reissues for some of these, but not all of them. I have a reissue old ghost guardian for instant gratification purposes, but I wouldn't mind scoring the real deal though. That deck is really special to me. It was the second deck i ever owned and I have a bunch of great old pics of me riding it.

I have a close to NOS Fred Smith already. It was my fav deck of all time.

I hate the reissue Gonz with "the original" on it instead of his name. So I'd love to get my hands on a real one. It doesn't have to be perfect condition, but it cant be too shredded either. Blue and pink color version would be a bonus.

I'd be okay with reissue Screamer and Dan Wilkes. Although they didn't reissue a black Dan WIlkes...

The SS ATV i think will be really hard to come by either new or old...

Chris Miller can also be a reissue i guess...

I dunno if even want a rip saw... the one i got back in the day delaminated on me right after i got it. Kind of a pain point.

You should be able to pick up the Eric Nash scratch off for fairly cheap. $200ish. Not a super popular and wanted deck.

I see a bunch of the 2nd version, but no 1st version. It was a really great shape!
