So, I've been riding 64 mm G-Bones with a 1 inch riser on a 1980's Powell/Peralta reissue deck. I'd like to try out the Caballero 59 mm SPF wheels minus the risers or at least a smaller riser. Do you think the 59's will work with my old school deck or does a large deck need the larger wheel?

Of course.

If you've been riding a set of 64mm since the '80s, they are likely 59mm by now or less!!!

Most common wheel size for those decks would range from 55mm to 65mm depending on what the terrain is at hand.

I have been loving the 60mm 97a Kryptonics Star-Tracs on my Skull and Sword and Vato Rat reissues. I run a 1/4" riser on both. The S&S has Gullwing Pro 9" on it and the Vato has stage III Indys. I get a little wheel bite on both but its manageable and I don't feel like I need more riser. I don't know if that helps but 59's should be fine with a quarter inch risers I would think.

Sorry if I was unclear. It's an 80's reissue deck. The wheels are only a year old. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the reply. I'm also riding a Skull and Sword reissue! I think I'll give the 59's a shot.

Go with 56 or 58 with a 1/8 riser.
