Is it just me or are the stock bushing just ridiculously soft?
At 200lbs I know I'm on the bigger side, but I'm positive I'm not the biggest guy riding Ace's by a longshot. These things are about as firm as mashed potatoes.

No rebound.
The slightest tightening causes the bushing to mush out from the washers.
Constant wheel bite even with 1/2' risers.

Did I get a bad set?

Mine were like that.
I haven’t used a stock bushing since 1986 when I weighed maybe 120? They are all junk that I’ve bought- Ace, Indy, Thunder

Even tightened down, they are mush. Going to try some Bones hards.

My Ace's are a bit older, but I'm still riding the stock bushings, I think they're pretty good for stock bushings. But I also like my trucks like I like my women, wide and loose.

Same. Ace bushings do seem soft, but that's how I like 'em...

Ace stock bushings are the only ones I don't swap out for Bones Hard cores. They work well for me. In fact, I'm actually riding a set that's all split and falling apart, but somehow it hasn't effected the ride. I'm seeing how long I can ride 'em until they feel shot (think of it as a science expierament).

They are awesomely soft!! LOOSE TRUCKS SAVE LIVES!!!

The white replacement bushings are quite a bit firmer.

The grommet on your front truck does not look stock Ace. It looks like an Indy grommet.Put the Ace one back on and losen the nut on the kingpin—way too tight.

I bought a set of 55's today, looking forward to seeing what they're like.

It'll be weird riding something besides Independent.

They better be stock. I ordered them new and didn't swap out a thing.

I agree. Def too tight. BUt any looser and it's just not stop wheel bite with the smallest carve.

That top washer is wrong. It should cup over the bushing like this.
