The white replacement bushings are quite a bit firmer.
The grommet on your front truck does not look stock Ace. It looks like an Indy grommet. Put the Ace one back on and losen the nut on the kingpin—way too tight.
Weird. I ride 'em super loose, and find the Ace stock bushings way too hard, swap them out for Bones softs. |

They better be stock. I ordered them new and didn't swap out a thing.
I agree. Def too tight. BUt any looser and it's just not stop wheel bite with the smallest carve.
Where did you get them?
What Buckethead said. |

-MyAces mushroomed too, i took the kingpin nut off and did a resituation job of the bushings and it made all the difference. just tighten them slowish - i still may get a lil harder ones.
As far as the trucks - i really like 'em so far_ |

I have 1/2" risers on there. I swapped out the pudding duro stock bushings for some bones hards. WORLD OF DIFFERENCE. Super stable I can carve without wheel bite |

ha! looking at the pic in the first post on this thread might have been wise of me. but you clearly need 2" risers! |

Nah, 1/2 and an 1/8th inch.
I use 1/8th inch. Get Rockets bearings and Pi wheels and go freaking fast, you'll burn some nice wheel wells in if you don't already have some.
Not sure if they changed the bushings on the newer Aces, but the OG ones are the best I've encountered for me. Nice and soft with nice rebound. |

I have 1/2" now. 65mm wheels I pulled out of the drawer but will switch to 60/61 when I decide which ones.
Are Pi Wheels still made? I thought Deck Crafters was done?
I hit Ron up but got no response, so i grabbed a set of Bones for now.
I was looking at some of the Speedlab wheels. Some good stuff in the size I want. |
